RWANDA WELCOMES RWANDAN YOUTH RESIDING IN SOUTH AFRICA FOR YOUTH CONNECTION

  News

Saturday, 4 October 2025 - The first group of Rwandan youth residing in South Africa arrived in Kigali to participate in “RCA-ZA Youth Connection Tour”. This 10-day visit is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Rwanda in collaboration with partners.

This initiative offers young Rwandans in South Africa a first-hand experience of their homeland—allowing them to rediscover Rwanda’s history, culture, and remarkable development transformation. Participants are expected to return and share their knowledge and experiences within their respective communities.

The program will expose participants to Rwanda’s history, socio-economic achievements, and development opportunities. The group is composed of students and young professionals between the ages of 16 and 35, most of whom are visiting Rwanda for the first time.

The “RCA-ZA Youth Connection Tour” initiative reflects the Government of Rwanda’s continued commitment to engage the Rwandan diaspora as key partners in advancing the NST2 agenda and fostering national unity.

This visit builds on previous editions of similar initiatives like Rwanda Youth Tour, which brings together participants from Europe, Canada, and other regions to visit their motherland, and the visit to Rwanda by the group of young Rwandans from the Central African Republic last year.
