Rwanda and Uzbekistan establish diplomatic relations
Antalya, 18 April 2026 – Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Olivier J.P. Nduhungirehe, and Bakhtiyor Saidov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Uzbekistan, held a bilateral meeting during which they signed a joint communiqué establishing diplomatic relations between Rwanda and Uzbekistan.
The establishment of diplomatic relations marks a significant milestone in advancing cooperation between the two countries and opens new avenues for collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomatic Forum 2026 in Türkiye.
