PM Ngirente attends the inauguration ceremony of the new Administrative Office Complex for the Office of the Prime Minister

Kigali: 22 April 2019 - Today, the Right Honourable Prime Minister, Dr. Ngirente Edouard attended the ceremony of inaugurating the new Administrative Office Complex for the Office of the Prime Minister and other government institutions (Ministry of Infrastructure, Ministry of Justice and the Public Law Reform Commission).

In his remarks, the Prime Minister welcomed to Rwanda, His Excellency Zheng, the Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference who handed the new building to the Government of Rwanda.

He then highlighted that the inaugurated Administrative Office Complex is a result of long lasting cordial bilateral relations between the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Rwanda.

The Premier recalled that the good partnership and mutual beneficial relationship was cemented by regular high-level exchange of visits. As an example, in March 2017, His Excellency Kagame Paul, President of the Republic of Rwanda visited China, met the Chinese President and had good bilateral talks with His Excellency Xi Jinping. The latter in July 2018 visited Rwanda. During his visit, 15 bilateral agreements between our two countries were signed.

The Premier expressed his gratitude to the People’s Republic of China for offering to Rwanda, such a beautiful and modern office building that will contribute in giving quality fast and effective service delivery.

The Premier concluded his remarks by reiterating the commitment of the Government of Rwanda to advance the existing good cooperation with China for the interest of our two nations.
