Kigali, 01 September 2026 - Minister Olivier J.P. Nduhungirehe received Mr. James Swan, the new Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General and Head of United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO), together with Mr. Huang Xia, UN Special Envoy for the Great Lakes Region. Their discussions focused on regional developments, particularly the situation in eastern DRC and ongoing efforts towards peace and stability in the region.
