Ambassador Igor Cesar presents his Letter of Credence to the President of Poland

Warsaw, 10 January 2017 – The Ambassador of Rwanda to Germany also covering Poland, H.E. Igor Cesar, presented his Letter of Credence to His Excellence Andrzej Duda, President of the Republic of Poland, in a ceremony held at a Presidential Palace in Warsaw. During the ceremony, Ambassador conveyed to H.E. the President of Poland, His Excellency President Paul Kagame's greetings and wishes for his good health, happiness and well-being.

Before presenting his letter of credence to H.E. President, Ambassador paid a courtesy call on Hon. Marek Ziolkowski, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Discussions between Ambassador and H.E. President as well as with the Hon. Undersecretary of State focused on the need and ways to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries.

President Andrzej Duda commended Rwanda for the progress achieved and for its contribution for the peace and stability in the region.

Amb. Igor Cesar expressed Rwanda’s desire to enhance business relations between Rwanda and Poland and hoped that the negotiations on the Avoidance of Double Taxation as well as Investment and Promotion and Protection Agreements which Rwanda has proposed to the Government of Poland will start soon.

Amb. Cesar hosted a reception where he hosted officials from key ministries in charge of foreign affairs and development cooperation portfolio, business associations and some business executives of some companies that Embassy has engaged as well as members of Rwanda Community in Poland.

Amb. Cesar also had a meeting with Mrs Beata Daszynska-Muzyczka, President of the Management Board of Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, the State Development Bank of Poland. The President of the Bank expressed their readiness to offer export credit facility and advised on how to follow-up on requirements.

Embassy of Rwanda to Germany is also accredited to Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia Republic, Liechtenstein and Ukraine. Poland is represented to Rwanda with its Embassy with residence in Nairobi, Kenya.
